Hi, I'm Vanessa!

I’m a Registered Behaviour Analyst with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behaviour Analysis along with diplomas in Early Childhood Education and Developmental Services. I’m passionate about supporting children and families in ways that are meaningful, practical, and individualized.

My interest in behaviour analysis comes from a genuine curiosity about why people do what they do and a desire to help individuals develop skills that make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives. I’ve had the opportunity to work with children and families across a variety of needs and goals, providing individualized intervention, caregiver coaching, social skills support, and clinical programming. I especially enjoy the problem-solving side of my work which allows me the opportunity to figure out what is getting in the way of a skill, find creative ways to teach it, and celebrate the progress that follows.

I believe effective behaviour support starts with a strong relationship. Every child is different, and I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I take the time to get to know each child, understand their strengths and interests, and develop strategies that fit naturally into their lives. I also value working closely with caregivers and making recommendations that are realistic, manageable, and meaningful for the whole family.

As a person, I would describe myself as warm, empathetic, curious, organized, and a little bit of a perfectionist! I value kindness, humour, honesty, and genuine connection, and I’m always looking for opportunities to learn and grow. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with the people (and pets!) I love, discovering new music, watching a good movie or show, and enjoying the little things in life.

I feel incredibly fortunate to do work that combines my love of learning, problem-solving, and helping others. My goal is to create a supportive environment where children can grow, families feel empowered, and progress, both big and small, is celebrated along the way.
